CVS deal 6.16.14

Not up for doing a haul and trying to see how much you can get for a few bucks? Couponing can still be rewarding, even if you are only going for ONE thing.

My kids and I were in the sun yesterday and got a little toasty. I need sunscreen NOW!!! It's time to break down, spend the money, and just get it over & done with.

But, as you all know me, I am NOT going to pay full price. No way!

Time to check my CVS goodies....

I checked to see what coupons are at the coupons machine. It sometimes helps to go onto your online account and check this ahead of time, before you get to the store.
And BAM there is a CVS coupon for $2 off any 2 sun products.

So now, I go to search how much their sunscreens are going for right now and come to find the CVS brand spray sunscreen is 2/$10 right now.

So I decide to browse the ad to see if there is anything else I can purchase that will give you back Extra Care bucks. Something I might need.

*BE toothpaste is $2.99 and if you buy one you get back $2 ECBs
- There is a $1.00 off coupon from Coupons.com
-I pay $1.99 OOP and get back $2 ECBs = FREE

So now I have $2ECBs and a $2 off 2 sunscreen products coupon.
 --------------------------- ------------------------------- -----------------------------
Transaction #1

*BE toothpaste $2.99 - $1cpn = $1.99 OOP and I get back $2 ECBs

Transaction #2

 (2) CVS sunscreen spray  - $10.00 - $2 off 2 sunscreen products - $2 ECBs ==$6.00

COMPLETE OOPS COSTS = $8.00 for 2 sunscreen and toothpaste

So remember, before you head to grab something you NEED, check those coupons first!! You don't have to pay full price.

**BE toothpaste coupon was from www.coupons.com
**OOP = Out of Pocket
**ECB = Extra Care Bucks

Weekly CVS deal at the coupon machine

Just wanted to pop in real quick to let you know, I found out what the weekly coupon machine deal was this week, at CVS.  If you scan your card you will get a $2 off Colgate toothpaste instant coupon. Select Colgate toothpastes were on sale for $3, so with that instant coupon, I got some good toothpaste for only $1.00.

Just for those who are not aware of these weekly deals, here's the info.  When at the coupon machine, scanning your card, most stores will have a little sign on it, that tells you what the big deal is that week. Then you will see that coupon will print. Then you just look at the end-cap shelf right there and BOOM, there is the product waiting for you.   They do it all for you....put a sign up in eye sights telling you to pay attention and use this coupon for the item that is sitting right there.

This deal changes every week. I have gotten free paper towels, candy bars for $.25, or like today....normally about $5 toothpaste for $1.00.

SCAN THOSE CARDS AND KEEP YOU EYES OPEN!!!!!

Coupon websites

Hey all!

Just wanted to pop in here for a few, and give you all some couponing basic websites, to help you get started.

1 - YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/
As some of you might now, I self taught my self how to coupon, from watching YouTube videos. There are people on here who show their weekly grocery hauls and break it down for  you by what coupons they used on top of what sales. You can also find videos that are more like a seminar type video, that teaches the logistics.

2 - CouponDivas -  http://coupondivas.com/
This is a site that has multiple purposes.
*It helps with match-ups. It will update its site each week, with a list of stores, that range all over the country, and will tell you what is on sale, what coupons matches it, will give you the link to the printable coupon, and tell you how much you will end up paying.

*It lists retail coupons you can use that are out there, for stores like Michale's, Bath & Body Works, Ulta, JCPenney, Payless, etc.

* They also provide you with printable coupons for restaurants and help you find out where and when kids can eat for FREE.

There are many other information pages this site has. You just have to explore it. But this one of my main go to sites when I am looking up deals.

3 - COUPONS.COM - http://www.coupons.com/
I'm not sure why I listed this page last because it IS the most important one for couponing. This is the database where you can go and print out hundreds of coupons. They refresh their database on the 1st of each month. This site does allow you to print a coupon 2 times, before its no longer available to you. Best of all, its free to use!!!

Now there are a  lot other sites out there, however, if you just explore these 3, you will be led to the others also. I just wanted to share my main 3 holy grail couponing sites for you all. Have fun!!!
